020 - Grotesques Chandelier

wooden scroll saw fretwork chandelier with grotesques

This is a remarkably beautiful chandelier lavishly ornamented with many figures of grotesques. To obtain this pattern I have completely and carefully reworked a very old Italian design. The chandelier has six arms with 3 lights in each, for a total of 18 lights. Once finished the chandelier can be decorated combining wood finishes and some colors to give it a special look. One should choose the color schemes carefully before proceeding. Finally, 18 bulbs of low wattage should be installed.

I have designed this pattern of the grotesques chandelier to be made with 1/8, 1/4 and 3/8 inches wood. I have chosen 3/8 wood for the main structural pieces for better strength. With a simple scale of the pattern it is also possible to use 3, 6 and 9 mm wood. The following table gives the dimensions of the chandelier depending on the wood you use:

Chandelier Height Chandelier Width
1/8, 1/4 and 3/8 in. wood 33 in. 33,8 in.
3, 6 and 9 mm wood 79.3 cm 81.2 cm

Please note that this pattern is registered and copyrighted. If you would like to have it I offer it for 15 € plus shipping. The pattern is computer made, which provides total precision, and nicely printed for convenient scrolling. Please write me to [email protected] to buy this pattern or for any questions.
