203 - Kyoto shelf

This is a stunning shelf in Japanese style. The sides are richly ornamented with scenes of ancient Japanese inspiration. This shelf is not for beginners, as it requires a lot of delicate work and some reinforcement of the shelf in the rear, because its very large size makes necessary to split some large pieces in smaller ones. The shelf can be hang in a wall or placed on a sideboard type furniture, where it will become the center of attention.

The pattern is based in an old Italian design from the beginning of the XX century that I have entirely reconstructed in the computer.

The pattern has been designed to use 3/16 inches wood or 5 mm wood. By scaling the pattern appropriately any other wood thickness can also be used. These are the dimensions of the shelf depending on the wood thickness you use:
Height Width Depth
3/16 in. wood 23.7 in. 13.2 in. 7.5 in.
1/4 in. wood 31.6 in. 17.6 in. 10.1 in.
5 mm wood 63.3 cm 35 cm 20 cm
6 mm wood 76 cm 42 cm 24 cm

The pattern is computer made, which provides total precision, and nicely printed for convenient scrolling. Please write me to [email protected] to buy this pattern or for any questions.
