Finescrollsaw032 - The Mantova clock |
|
This is a remarkable fretwork pendulum clock ornamented with cherubs, dragons, sirens and four small fretworked boxes that form the base. The clock is designed to be completed with a pendulum system, but a simple clock insert is also possible. This pattern is based in an old Italian design that I have restored carefully in the computer. The clock is designed to be made preferably with 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 inches wood or with 12, 6 and 3 mm wood, but of course other wood thickness can be used scaling the pattern. The following table gives the dimensions of the clock depending on the wood thickness you use:
Please note that this pattern is registered and copyrighted. If you would like to have it I offer it for 17 € plus shipping. The pattern is computer made, which provides total precision, and nicely printed for convenient scrolling. Please write me to [email protected] to buy this pattern or for any questions. These two pictures have been sent by Boris Radovskiy from the United States. He has made a magnificent clock that shows absolute expertise. Observe the nice contrast created by the walnut and cherry hardwoods, and the subtle detail of the golden feet. The wood behind the fretwork in the base is bloodwood. The clock is finished with three coats of satin polyurethane Boris is a member of the Carolina Scrollers club. |
