231 - Sideboard with mirror

We present here yet another magnificent scroll saw fretwork project. This sideboard with mirror pattern is based in an old Italian design from the beginning of the 20th century that I have entirely reconstructed in the computer. The amount of work it requires for completion and the dimensions of the model (see table below) make this one of the most spectacular scroll saw designs I have ever found and restored. This project is recommended only for very advanced scrollers with years of experience and seasoned skills.

This model requires an 18 inches scroll saw. Large pieces are presented split in two or several pieces. When possible, the cutting lines are hidden behind other pieces.

The pattern has been designed to use 1/4 and 1/8 inches wood or 6 and 3 mm wood. By scaling the pattern appropriately any other wood thickness can also be used. These are the dimensions of the sideboard depending on the wood thickness you use:

Height Width Depth
1/4 and 1/8 inches wood 44.7 inches 31.3 inches 10 inches
6 and 3 mm wood 107.3 cm 75.1 cm 24 cm
8 and 4 mm wood 143 cm 100 cm 32 cm

Please note that this pattern is registered and copyrighted. If you would like to have it I offer it for 27 € plus shipping. The pattern is computer made, which provides total precision, and nicely printed for convenient scrolling. Please write me to [email protected] to buy this pattern or for any questions.
